Abstract: | The pandemic COVID-19 has changed our perspective toward life in many ways. The right to life is a fundamental human right that is protected by the statutes of every civilized nation, and it is the most foundational of all human rights. The pandemic has made us realize that the right to life will be meaningless without the right to health. Although the right to health is not expressly stated as a basic right in the Indian Constitution, the Indian legal system has stretched the fundamental right of life to include the right to health through a number of determined judgments even before the government had the opportunity to educate it. International organizations such as UN-FAO, WHO, and the WMA (World Medical Association) have recognized the right to health as a fundamental human right. Access to nutritious food is a crucial part of the right to health, and it is something that should not be ignored. The purpose of this chapter is to explain the relationships between the right to health and the ability to obtain nutritious food through organic agriculture. © 2023 Apple Academic Press, Inc. |
