Abstract: The COVID-19 pandemic has unleashed unprecedented challenges across the globe, affecting every aspect of human life, including the rights and well-being of children. This article explores the multifaceted issue of child labour during the pandemic through the lens of a humanistic approach, shedding light on the often -overlooked human rights dimension of this crisis. The pandemic -induced lockdowns and economic disruptions have exacerbated the plight of child laborers in India. This research paper employs a humanistic approach to view each child as a unique individual with inherent dignity, deserving of a childhood free from exploitation and harm. It underscores that child labor not only violates their fundamental rights but also hampers their potential to contribute to society positively. Within the Indian context, this abstract explores the ethical dimensions of child labor, emphasizing the nation's responsibility to secure the rights and futures of its youngest citizens. It investigates the impact of disrupted education and the digital divide, highlighting the importance of accessible and inclusive learning environments as a means to combat child labor. Furthermore, this research paper delves into India's legal and policy framework, analyzing the effectiveness of existing laws and initiatives in protecting child labor rights. It calls for a holistic approach that combines legislative measures, social programs, and international collaboration to address the root causes of child labor and its exacerbation during crises.
