dc.description.abstract | Forensic Psychology is currently being utilized to get assistance in investigation of a crime already being committed or at the time of dissemination of justice. Apart from this, it could be used as an ultimate tool to counter terrorism. Every human being knows that no one is a born criminal or terrorist. The surroundings and the environment in which a person is brought up or educated or interacted during lifetime, has a great impact on the self's character and behaviour. Crime of any sort and magnitude, starting from ordinary theft to sophisticated bank robberies, accidental stabbing to implantation of bomb as a part of terrorist activity can only and only be culminated totally from the society if proper steps in proper direction are taken to culminate such wrong thinking or idea within a human being and not the human being. If few persons are culminated in order to culminate terrorism then hundreds or thousands more may be generated. It is similar to the demonic character of " Raktabhija" of Hindu mythology. Forensic psychology is currently being used to prove the involvement or non-involvement of a person in any wrong activity. It's a boon and it should be utilized to find out the root cause of terrorist activity so that the root cause can be timely destroyed and the propagation of the wrong thoughts can be stopped which will ultimately result into culmination of terrorism in totality. | |
